The People's Houseایوانِ جمہور
Eleven general elections, 1977–2024, drawn on the constituency boundaries in force at the time. Every seat, every candidate, every vote count — and the patterns underneath them: careers that outlast parties, seats that pass through families, and the long argument between deen and dastoor at the ballot box.

series baseline
A note on 2024. Weeks before the vote, PTI lost its shared electoral symbol — the cricket bat — when the Supreme Court upheld the ECP ruling that its intra-party elections were invalid. Its candidates contested as independents, each under a different ballot symbol, and that is how the returns record them: the independent seats above are overwhelmingly PTI-backed, and are shown here in PTI's maroon rather than the grey used for independents elsewhere. FAFEN counts 88 PTI-backed among the 101 independents returned on the first consolidated results. Our bench of 99 is later: three ECP recounts — NA-79, NA-81 and NA-154, all upheld by the Supreme Court — moved PTI-backed independents to PML-N, and NA-8 Bajaur, postponed on polling day, was won in April by an independent who beat the PTI-backed candidate. That leaves 85 PTI-backed and 14 genuine independents, the latter in grey. Most of those winners later joined the Sunni Ittehad Council in pursuit of reserved seats. 2024 party totals are therefore not comparable with earlier elections. The vote share bar gives each party's share of all valid votes cast in directly contested general seats, so it can be read against the seat share above it; swing is the change in that share, in percentage points, versus the preceding election. Starred comparisons cross a change of label — IJI → PML-N, PPP → PDA → PPP, JUI-F ↔ MMA — and are indicative only. For 2024 the vote shares are FAFEN's Form-47 compilation rather than our own seat totals, because FAFEN resolves each PTI-backed independent to IND (PTI) — a split the returns themselves do not record. On that basis PTI's vote fell about two points from 2018 even as it took the most seats. 1985 was a non-party election, so no swing is defined for it and 1988 is compared with 1977.
